Motorcity Factoids!

Roth is The Burners helper. His name is taken from "Big Daddy" Ed Roth (March 4, 1932 – April 4, 2001) was an artist, cartoonist, custom car painter, and pinstriper who created the hot-rod icon Rat Fink and other extreme characters. As a custom car builder, Roth was a key figure in Southern California's Kustom Kulture and hot-rod movement of the late 1950s and 1960s. He spent the final years of his life in Manti, Utah.

Mutt's logo on the side is a stylized dog driving a car. This is an homage to Ed Roths Rat Fink character.

Mike Chilton is The Burners leader. His last name comes from the Chilton Auto Repair Manuals.

Episode 4: Texas-ify It

Texas-ify It: May 21 - The Burners team up with another resistance group who's home has been turned into a Toxic waste dump by Kane Co. and Texas, who's been feeling unappreciated, becomes very popular with their new allies. However the Burners soon discover that their new allies are hiding some dangerous secerts.

Episode 3: Ride the Lightning

Ride the Lightning: May 14 - Kane uses a climator to cause a huge blizzard in Motorcity, and Mike goes missing. Julie, Dutch, and Texas must put aside their differences to save Mike.

Episode 2: Power Trip

Power Trip: May 7 - The Burners infiltrate Kane Co. to steal an energy weapon Kane is forcing a scientist to build to destroy Motorcity.

Episode 1: Battle for Motorcity

Battle for Motorcity: April 30th - Kane tries to cripple Motorcity and when the Eastside gate fails...he lures the Burners in to a trap to destroy Motorcity.

"Can't wait to see this! Looks like a cross between Gorillaz and Metalocalypse. And, a mix of Dukes of Hazzard, Fast and the Furious, and Scooby Doo. Motorcity, a new animated series Disney XD is launching later this month. The premise: In a futuristic Detroit, about 50 years from now, the evil billionaire Abraham Kane has taken control and outlawed basic freedoms, including automobiles. A group of young rebels who call themselves The Burners are fighting back to protect their subterranean refuge, Motorcity. They build their own fleet of customized hot rods, which finds them at odds with the malevolent Kane. Motorcity was created by animation vet Chris Prynoski, whose producing credits include the Adult Swim series Metalocalypse. "
