Motorcity, a new animated series Disney XD is launching later this month. The premise: In a futuristic Detroit, about 50 years from now, the evil billionaire Abraham Kane has taken control and outlawed basic freedoms, including automobiles. A group of young rebels who call themselves The Burners are fighting back to protect their subterranean refuge, Motorcity. They build their own fleet of customized hot rods, which finds them at odds with the malevolent Kane. Motorcity was created by animation vet Chris Prynoski, whose producing credits include the Adult Swim series Metalocalypse. "
